Nice Pebbles apartments are located in the three top neighborhood destinations in Nice!
Old Nice (Vieux Nice)
Stretching from the Theatre de Verdun to Place Garibaldi and Place Massena to the Cours Saleya and Promenade des Anglais is the bustling Old Quarter known as Old Nice (Vieux Nice). From early morning to late evening these picturesque streets are alive with cafés, restaurants, shops and bars marking this as the main tourist hotspot.
Our rental apartments in the Old Town of Nice book up fast, especially in summer months. This is where you are right in the heart of everything and enjoy the ambience and character of these historical winding narrow streets and small squares. If you like atmospheric nightlife, bustling café squares, great restaurants and bars everywhere you turn, then the Old Town is most definitely the place for you. It’s also very near the beach and bus station and has a decent two floored supermarket as well as a cinema that offers English language films. more on our sister site Riviera Pebbles...
Carré d’Or
The name says it all: Carré d'Or translates as Golden Square. The elegance and the proximity to the Promenade des Anglais attract thousands of tourists to this up-market area of Nice’s city centre. This area rivals the Old Town for the most sought after location for holiday rentals. The area includes the Zone Piétonne (the long pedestrian street called Rue Masséna set between Place Masséna and Rue de France), Boulevard Victor Hugo and the roads in between including Marechal Joffre, Rue de la Buffa and Alphonse Karr. If you’re a keen shopper or prefer a more sanitized area than Vieux Nice or Nice Etoile, this is the place for you. Shoppers can easily spend a whole day in the twenty or so up-market chains or designer boutiques or in the more bargain boutiques that line Rue Massena. The streets are cleaner, wider and the buildings, shops and restaurants are grander, more opulent, but have a little less character than their Vieux Nice brothers. more on our sister site Riviera Pebbles...
Etoile
The area we call Nice Etoile includes Jean Médecin High Street and Place Massena to the left and all the streets to the right up that run parallel to the bus station including Rue Giofreddo, Rue l’Hotel des Postes and Rue Pastorelli. Cleaner and less crowded than the Old Town, book your holiday apartment in this area if you like to pop into the vibrant atmosphere of the Old Town but like a break from it too. Mouth-watering bakeries and restaurants as well as small boutiques and shops populate it. There are pavement café bars and delis on every street and a choice of four supermarkets. The noise from some of the roads can sometimes be a nuisance, but the noise is to be expected in any city centre and the traffic does slow down considerably at night. more on our sister site Riviera Pebbles...
